NORWELL — A motor vehicle collision into a utility pole closed a section of Main Street between Winter Street and Dover Street at 4:16 p.m. Monday.
The crash disrupted power in the area, according to the Norwell Police Department.
National Grid responded to the scene to assess the damage.
Police reopened Main Street at 5:36 p.m.
National Grid crews will return tonight to replace the damaged utility pole and restore power to affected areas.
Police are asking drivers to use caution and watch for detail officers working in the area during the utility repairs.
