Esperance man arrested on sexual abuse charges involving juvenile

ESPERANCE — The New York State Police Livingston Bureau of Criminal Investigation announced the arrest of Louis Dinino, 28, of Esperance, on charges of Sexual Abuse 1st and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Dinino faces a class D felony charge of Sexual Abuse 1st and a class A misdemeanor charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The arrest follows an extensive investigation into allegations involving a juvenile under the age of 13.

The incident reportedly occurred at Dinino’s girlfriend’s residence in the Town of Kinderhook, Columbia County.

The investigation began on April 11 when Child Protective Services contacted the Livingston BCI following disclosures made by the victim.

Investigators determined that Dinino engaged in criminal sexual conduct with the juvenile victim.

Dinino was arrested on June 19 and arraigned in Greenport Town Court.

He was remanded to Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, $25,000 secured bond, or $50,000 partially secured bond.

His next court appearance is scheduled for June 24 at 5:00 p.m. in Kinderhook Town Court.
