SHELDON — A 21-year-old Winooski man suffered suspected minor injuries when his truck crashed into an electrical pole Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:49 a.m. on East Sheldon Road west of Kittell Road, according to Vermont State Police.
Shabani Munyugu was traveling west in a 2018 Isuzu NPR-HD at a reasonable speed when he left the roadway and struck the electrical pole, police said.
The vehicle came to an uncontrolled rest in a field after the impact.
Munyugu was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to Northwestern Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.
The truck was totaled and removed from the scene.
Weather conditions were clear with dry roads at the time of the crash.
Sheldon Fire Department and AmCare Ambulance Service assisted troopers at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by Trooper Catherine Gullo of the Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks.
