ST. GEORGE — A 22-year-old Essex man was hospitalized with minor injuries after his vehicle rolled over on Vermont Route 2A Thursday night.
Vermont State Police received a report of a single vehicle rollover with possible injuries at 7058 VT Route 2A at approximately 10:47 p.m.
Troopers, EMS and fire personnel responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, troopers observed the vehicle upside down and blocking the roadway.
Preliminary investigation indicated that Cameron Martin was traveling north on VT Route 2A in a 2024 Honda Civic when the vehicle lost control and went off the roadway before flipping.
Martin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
He was transported to UVM Medical Center for further examination.
The vehicle was totaled in the crash.
The roadway was shut down for a short period of time due to the incident.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, though weather was clear.
