Rhode Island police arrest 4 on fraud, drug, fugitive charges

WICKFORD — Rhode Island State Police arrested four people on various charges including financial fraud, drug possession and fugitive warrants over two days this week.

On June 17, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Kim M. Dicostanzo, 63, of 89 Old Sayles Hill Road, North Smithfield, Rhode Island, for obtaining money by false pretenses over $10,000 and access to a computer for fraudulent purpose.

She was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released on $10,000 personal recognizance.

Also on June 17, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Phillipe Lefebvre, 52, last known address of 131 Harrison Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for sex offender registration violation.

Lefebvre was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.

The task force also arrested Angel Diaz-Algea, 25, of 425 Cranston Street Apartment 1, Providence, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department for burglary with forced entry into a residence.

Diaz-Algea was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Providence Police Department.

On June 18, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Adam Davis, 37, of 87 Columbia Heights Road, Charlestown, Rhode Island, on multiple charges including possession with intent to deliver psilocybin, three counts of possession of firearms while committing a controlled substance violation, three counts of possession of firearms by certain persons prohibited, 18 counts of possession of large-capacity feeding device, and possession of a controlled substance.

Davis was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions pending an arraignment on Friday.
