WYNANTSKILL — State Police arrested a 23-year-old man June 6 on charges related to child sexual exploitation.
Alexander V. Mills of Wynantskill was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, and possessing a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony.
Mills is accused of promoting and possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.
The arrest followed an investigation and execution of a search warrant at his former residence in Watervliet on June 6.
The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
State Police from Latham conducted the arrest with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Mills was transported to State Police Latham where he was processed.
He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Watervliet Town Court on June 17 and released.
