ALBANY — State Police arrested a Brooklyn man early June 7 after he fled a traffic stop and injured a trooper during his arrest.
Nkosi S. King, 51, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, assault in the second degree, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, and a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Troopers stopped King’s vehicle on Clinton Avenue at about 4 a.m. for a traffic violation.
King fled on foot but was quickly detained after a brief pursuit.
King continued to resist while being arrested and was found to be in possession of felony weight narcotics.
The arresting trooper sustained injuries as a result of King’s actions.
King was transported to State Police Latham for processing.
He was arraigned at Albany City Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
