FAIRFAX — Two vehicles crashed on Main Street during heavy rain Thursday afternoon when one driver was unable to stop before rear-ending another vehicle that was turning into a residence.

The crash occurred at 3:31 p.m. near residence 148 on Main Street, a short distance north of Fisher Road.

Colin Seiler, 26, of Burlington, was driving a 2022 Ford F-150 northbound behind a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado operated by Michelle Miller, 50, of Belvidere.

Miller was slowing down to turn into the residence when Seiler’s vehicle rear-ended her truck, according to state police.

Heavy rain at the time compromised road conditions and visibility, police said.

Seiler’s Ford sustained significant front-end damage while Miller’s Chevrolet had significant rear-end and structural damage.

Neither driver was injured, though Miller reported possible minor injuries and declined medical transport.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

State police and local fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
