SPRINGFIELD — A 35-year-old Springfield man was arrested early Tuesday morning on a domestic assault charge following an incident on Valley Street.
Nicholas Macie was taken into custody at approximately 2:52 a.m. May 27 after Springfield police responded to a reported assault at 78 Valley Street.
Officers found the victim on the front porch of the residence upon arrival.
Following an investigation, police determined an alleged assault had occurred.
Macie was arrested without incident and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
He was issued a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on May 27 at 12:30 p.m.
Macie was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
