Providence man arrested on stolen goods charge

PROVIDENCE — Troopers arrested Christian Madera Marejo, age 22, of 47 Salmon Street, Providence, Rhode Island for receiving stolen goods Thursday at 3:50 a.m.

State police also made two arrests Wednesday.

At 10:51 a.m., troopers arrested Idilene Brito, age 27, of 100 Hobson Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for driving after denial/revocation/suspension of license certain violations – first offense.

The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Smith Street in Providence.

Brito was processed at State Police Headquarters and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.

At 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, troopers arrested Karina Matos, age 32, of 41 Stone Street, Providence, Rhode Island for embezzlement, passing of counterfeit certificates, bills, or notes, and obtaining property by false pretenses/personation over $1,500 and under $1,500.

The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation with East Providence Police Department taking custody of Matos.

Matos was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
