MORAVIA — A 66-year-old Moravia man was arrested June 4 on a menacing charge following an altercation on Main Street.
Steven Allwood was charged with menacing in the third degree, a misdemeanor, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were traveling on Main Street in the village around 9:59 p.m. when they were flagged down by a man.
An investigation determined that Allwood and another man had gotten into an altercation where Allwood menaced the victim with his fists, Sheriff Brian Schenck said in a news release Thursday.
Allwood was taken into custody and brought to the Public Safety Building for processing.
He was then turned over to the Cayuga County Jail due to an order of protection request, where a full stay away order was granted.
Allwood is scheduled to appear in Moravia Court at a later date.
