Gray man arrested in Westbrook trailer burglary case

WESTBROOK — A 47-year-old Gray man was arrested on felony theft charges after police recovered stolen tools from trailer burglaries reported in mid-May.

Joshua Toman was taken into custody at his Gray residence after Westbrook police detectives executed a search warrant.

The investigation began when a business reported that several of their trailers had been burglarized, according to the Westbrook Police Department.

Detectives developed a suspect description during their investigation.

Patrol officers identified a suspect matching that description whom they had recently contacted.

The information allowed detectives to further their investigation and obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s residence.

Detectives located Toman outside his home when they arrived to execute the warrant.

Police recovered the stolen tools during the search.

Toman was charged with felony theft and had a probation hold placed on him as he was on probation at the time of his arrest.

The stolen tools were returned to their owners.
