RICHMOND — Vermont State Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 southbound at Exit 11 at approximately 12:24 a.m. Thursday.
Adam Carp, 35, of Bradford was driving a 2016 Honda CR-V southbound when he experienced a mechanical issue with a front tire, according to preliminary investigation.
The tire problem caused Carp’s vehicle to hit the guardrail and flip over.
A juvenile from Barre City driving a 2006 Subaru Legacy and Jeffrey Cueto, 75, of East Montpelier driving a 2024 Tesla Model Y were traveling behind Carp’s vehicle and sustained damage from debris.
Carp’s Honda was totaled and came to rest in the middle of the southbound lanes, blocking both lanes of travel.
The Subaru and Tesla sustained minor damage and pulled over to the shoulder.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
Emergency medical services evaluated all three drivers at the scene and released them.
Both southbound lanes at Exit 11 were temporarily closed due to the crash.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the incident.
