SPRINGFIELD — A 54-year-old Andover man was arrested on an outstanding warrant Sunday evening while police were conducting an unrelated investigation.
Matthew Wilder was taken into custody at 78 Valley St. at approximately 8:24 p.m. May 26, according to the Springfield Police Department.
Officers were at the Valley Street address for an unrelated matter when they observed Wilder, police said.
Police learned that Wilder allegedly had an active warrant for his arrest.
Upon confirmation of the in-state arrest warrant, Wilder was arrested without incident.
He was transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Wilder was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit on May 27 at 12:30 p.m.
He was subsequently lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of $200 bail.
