FRAMINGHAM — A 32-year-old man was arrested on domestic violence and illegal firearm charges following a reported fight between a man and woman Tuesday night.
Daniel Feeney, who has no known address, was taken into custody in the police station parking lot after officers responded to the area of Concord Street and Union Avenue at approximately 10 p.m.
Police said they interviewed the involved parties and developed probable cause to arrest Feeney.
A search of Feeney and his property yielded an unloaded nine-round .22 caliber revolver and a small amount of a Class E controlled substance, according to police.
Feeney does not have a Firearms Identification Card or License to Carry, police said.
He was charged with domestic assault and battery, possession of a firearm without an FID/LTC, and possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest marks the third illegally possessed gun recovered by the Framingham Police Department in just over a week.
