ENDICOTT — Police have arrested a 39-year-old Endwell man on charges of disseminating indecent material to minors in the first degree.
Nicholas R. Mancini was taken into custody following an investigation that began June 17 when police responded to Washington Avenue.
Officers were investigating allegations made during a 911 call that Mancini had sent sexually explicit pictures and text messages to a 13-year-old female and was attempting to meet her nearby.
The investigation revealed that Mancini had engaged in electronic communications by telephone with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old female.
During the communications, Mancini transmitted images and videos containing sexual conduct and nudity of himself, according to police.
Mancini was processed at the Endicott Police Department and taken to the Centralized Arraignment Part court at the Broome County Jail for arraignment.
He faces a class D felony charge.
The investigation is continuing.
