LEICESTER — A 69-year-old Rutland City man has been cited for simple assault after allegedly injuring a 76-year-old Leicester resident on June 16.
Vermont State Police responded to a report of an assault on Dogwood Drive at approximately 1:33 p.m.
Investigation revealed that Steven Martin purposely caused bodily injury to William Pitkin, according to police.
Martin left the scene and was later located by the Rutland City Police Department.
Martin was issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on July 28 at 12:30 p.m.
