BRISTOL — A Middlebury man was cited after his truck overturned and struck a telephone pole on Vermont Route 116 South early Monday morning.
Joshua Therrien, 41, was driving north on Route 116 near Terrier Drive at approximately 6:14 a.m. when his 2008 Chevrolet truck left the northbound lane.
The vehicle struck a telephone pole and overturned, coming to rest upside down.
Therrien was not injured in the crash and was not wearing a seatbelt, according to Vermont State Police.
Investigation revealed Therrien was driving with a criminally suspended license at the time of the crash.
The truck was totaled in the accident.
Road conditions were dry and weather was clear at the time of the crash.
Therrien was issued citations for driving on roadways laned for traffic, operating without liability insurance, and misuse of number plates.
He is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Aug. 4 at 12:30 p.m.
Bristol Police Department, Bristol Rescue Squad and Bristol Fire Department assisted state troopers at the scene.
