Bourne motorcycle crash injures 22-year-old man

BOURNE — Officers of the Bourne Police Department and members of the Bourne Fire Department were dispatched to 1039 County Road for a motorcycle crash with injuries at approximately 9:44 p.m. Monday.

The first responding officers located a single Harley Davidson motorcycle in the front yard of the address.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old male from Bourne, was conscious and alert with possible life-threatening injuries when responders first arrived.

Officers quickly provided lifesaving measures and transferred care to the Bourne Fire Department upon their arrival.

The preliminary investigation has indicated the motorcycle was traveling south on County Road when it crossed the double yellow line to the left, went off the road and into the front yard of 1039 County Road.

The crash remains under investigation by the Bourne Police Department, with the assistance of the Cape and Islands Law Enforcement Council’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
