West Greenwich police arrest 2 on drug charges in separate traffic stops

WEST GREENWICH — State police arrested two men on drug charges in separate traffic stops Sunday.

Troopers arrested Gregorio A. Portorreal, 29, of 2043 Smith Street, North Providence, at 8:34 a.m. during a motor vehicle stop on Victory Highway.

Portorreal was charged with manufacturing, delivering and possession with intent to deliver a Schedule I/II controlled substance and possession of a Schedule I to V controlled substance weighing 1 kilogram or greater, specifically cocaine.

He was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

Portorreal was then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake where he was held as a bail and probation violator.

In a separate incident at 10:38 p.m., troopers arrested Tyler E. DiLibero, 34, of 219 Lincoln Street, Blackstone, Massachusetts, during a motor vehicle stop on Route 95.

DiLibero was charged with possession of a controlled substance Schedule I to V under 10 grams, specifically methamphetamine.

He was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

DiLibero was released with a future Third Division District Court date.
