BOSTON — Officers assigned to District B-2 observed shots fired at the intersection of Magnolia Street and Intervale Street at approximately 7:48 p.m. Sunday, coinciding with a ShotSpotter activation in the area.
Responding officers secured the scene and recovered ballistic evidence.
Additional units were requested to assist in canvassing the area for potential suspects, victims and further evidence.
K9 Logan and his handler responded to the scene and conducted a search of the surrounding area.
A firearm was located concealed in dense brush within Ceylon Park as a result of their efforts.
District B-2 detectives identified the recovered weapon as a black Glock firearm bearing two serial numbers.
The firearm was equipped with a black Glock .40 caliber magazine capable of holding 15 rounds, with 14 .40 caliber rounds recovered inside the magazine.
Detectives assigned to District B-2 continue to actively investigate the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
