MENDON — A 64-year-old man was arrested early Monday on charges of second-degree aggravated domestic assault and interference with access to emergency services.
Ralph Schneider of Mendon was taken into custody at approximately 12:48 a.m. June 16 after Vermont State Police troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded to a disturbance at a residence in town.
Police said their investigation revealed that Schneider had caused pain or injury to a family or household member.
The investigation also showed that Schneider had attempted to prevent the victim from calling emergency services for help, according to police.
Schneider was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing before being held at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility without bail.
