CHICOPEE — A 24-year-old Chicopee man died early Sunday after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Fuller Road near the Moose Family Lodge.
WESTCOMM Regional Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 1:49 a.m. June 15 reporting the crash.
The caller said the motorcycle operator appeared to have serious injuries and CPR was in progress.
First responding officers took over life-saving measures when they arrived at the scene.
The motorcyclist was transported to Baystate Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
The operator of the other vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
A female passenger in that vehicle was also transported for minor injuries.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The Chicopee Police Department Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Hampden County District Attorney’s Office are also assisting with the investigation.
