BRANDON — Vermont State Police arrested a 33-year-old man on two counts of second-degree aggravated domestic assault following separate incidents over the weekend.
Nicholas T. Sweet of Brandon was taken into custody Sunday after troopers responded to a second family fight call in two days.
The first incident occurred Saturday at approximately 11:01 p.m. when troopers from the Vermont State Police Rutland Barracks were notified of a family fight in Brandon.
Through investigation, police determined Sweet had caused pain or injury to a family or household member.
Troopers were unable to locate Sweet, who had fled the scene.
On Sunday at approximately 11:08 a.m., troopers were again notified of a family fight in Brandon.
Investigation determined Sweet had again caused pain or injury to a family or household member.
Sweet was located at the scene and taken into custody.
He was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
Sweet was issued conditions of release and lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
