WEST HAVEN — The West Haven Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly exposed himself near a children’s playing field.
On June 14 at approximately 10:25 a.m., the individual was observed standing along the fence at Veterans Field with his pants down to just above his knees, fondling himself in public view, police said.
Children were actively playing on the field at the time of the incident.
When confronted by a concerned parent, the individual got into his vehicle and left the area, according to police.
He was seen operating a gray, four-door Chevrolet Colorado with tinted windows.
A North Carolina paper license plate bearing the number NC40135903 was affixed to the rear of the truck.
The vehicle was last seen entering Bull Hill Lane, where the complainant lost sight of it.
Police ask anyone who can identify the individual or has seen the truck to call 203-937-3900 and stay on the line to speak with a dispatcher.
