Fulton couple charged with grand larceny in Union Springs gambling voucher theft

UNION SPRINGS — Two Fulton residents were arrested June 9 on charges they stole and cashed a gambling voucher worth more than $1,000 at a local entertainment venue.

Eugene Regan and Virginia Regan, both 50, were charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, an E felony, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.

The investigation began in March when Lakeside Entertainment in Union Springs contacted the sheriff’s office to report that two people had stolen and cashed out a gambling cash voucher belonging to another patron.

The voucher was valued at more than $1,000, according to the sheriff’s office.

Both suspects were issued appearance tickets and released with a return date of June 25 in Springport Town Court.

The Cayuga Nation Police assisted in the investigation.
