ALBANY — A 20-year-old Albany man has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred inside Café Hollywood.
Malachi Davis was arrested yesterday following an investigation by detectives from the Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024 at around 1:05 a.m., officers responded to Café Hollywood located at 275 Lark Street for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival officers learned that a 32-year-old male had been shot in the abdomen while inside the establishment.
The victim self-transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where he was located by officers.
Davis has been charged with attempted murder in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
