WEBSTER — Webster Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Negus St. and Myrtle Avenue for the report of a physical altercation with shots fired on June 10 at approximately 10 p.m.
Upon officers’ arrival, they were able to identify all of the involved parties, many of which were juveniles.
Patrol officers were able to quickly identify the source of the fired shots and they were able to secure the scene for the safety of all persons present.
Officers and detectives secured the scene, applied for and executed a search warrant and recovered the firearm used during the shooting, along with several additional firearms and ammunition.
As a result of the call and subsequent investigation officers arrested Brian Reynolds, 67, of 10 Negus St.
Reynolds was charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of assault and battery, and one count of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed at a later date.
This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public at this time.
