SOMERVILLE — Somerville police made three arrests over a five-day period this month, including incidents involving assault and disorderly conduct.
On June 3 at approximately 9:35 p.m., officers responded to Elm Street for a welfare check on a male experiencing complications from dialysis treatments.
While officers were walking the man to the bus station, another male approached and spit on both the man and an officer.
The suspect was arrested on assault charges.
On June 6 at approximately 10:16 p.m., police responded to a business in Davis Square for an assault report.
The victim told officers he confronted a male for shoplifting and was subsequently punched by the suspect.
On June 8 at approximately 6:21 p.m., officers responded to a business on Foley Street for another assault incident.
A witness pointed out a male suspect who had been screaming at people and threw a drink at a bartender.
The suspect was arrested at the scene.
Police also reported additional crimes during the period, including two motor vehicle thefts, two incidents of motor vehicle vandalism, five car breaks, and two bicycle thefts.
