PLATTSBURGH — A 23-year-old Plattsburgh man was arrested Tuesday on a felony charge of criminal contempt in the first degree.
Joshua K. Carter was taken into custody at 10:25 a.m. June 3 following an investigation by Clinton County Sheriff’s deputies into an alleged violation of a court-issued order of protection.
Deputies allege Carter contacted the protected party while he was incarcerated at the Clinton County Correctional Facility.
Carter was processed and arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Justice Court.
He was remanded and returned to Clinton County Correctional Facility and is scheduled to reappear at a later date to face the allegation.
