Boston police arrest Quincy man for breaking into South End Lululemon store

BOSTON — Police arrested a 42-year-old Quincy man Thursday morning after he allegedly broke into a Lululemon store in the South End and stole merchandise worth more than $2,000.

David Tracy was taken into custody at about 8:06 a.m. near 780 Boylston Street after officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress at 776 Boylston Street.

Police said Tracy entered the store before it opened and stole merchandise.

A sergeant responding to the scene located an individual matching the suspect’s description fleeing down an alley off Boylston Street.

With assistance from a nearby detail officer, the suspect was handcuffed.

Officers recovered 26 items from Tracy valued at approximately $2,331.

During a search, police also found 11 non-prescription pills.

Tracy is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of breaking and entering during daytime, possession of Class E drugs, threat to commit a crime and resisting arrest.
