AUBURN — Investigators of the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force have been investigating the illegal possession, sales and distribution of narcotics that have been being conducted by Reynaldo A. Ratcliffe-Sierra in Cayuga County.
Based on the investigation, investigators were able to obtain court authorized search warrants issued out of Cayuga County Court for the person of Reynaldo A. Ratcliffe-Sierra, a hotel room located within Auburn, and a rental vehicle being utilized by Ratcliffe-Sierra.
During the afternoon of June 11, investigators of the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force executed the court authorized search warrants at a hotel located in Auburn and the rental vehicle being utilized by Ratcliffe-Sierra.
As a result of the investigation and search, Ratcliffe-Sierra was found to be in possession of over four ounces of cocaine, a quantity of U.S. currency, a digital weighing scale and other drug paraphernalia commonly utilized in the illegal possession and sales of narcotics.
Based on the investigation and search, Ratcliffe-Sierra was charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a class A-II felony, and one count of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a class B felony.
Due to Ratcliffe-Sierra having two previous felony convictions and currently being on New York State Parole, the Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office requested Ratcliffe-Sierra be remanded to the custody of the Cayuga County Jail.
The FLDTF is comprised of members of the New York State Police, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and Auburn Police Department.
The Cayuga County District Attorney’s Office will be prosecuting the case.
