CONCORD — A St. Johnsbury woman was cited for driving under the influence after her vehicle rolled over on East Concord Road early Tuesday morning.
Lauren Scott, 37, was driving a 2021 Jeep Compass when the single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:24 a.m. at the intersection of East Concord Road and Carr Brook, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the rollover crash and found the vehicle overturned on its roof, off the roadway and down an embankment.
Scott declined medical attention and reported no injuries.
During the investigation, troopers observed signs of impairment and screened Scott for DUI before taking her into custody.
Scott was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing and later released with a citation to appear in Essex County Criminal Court on June 30 at 8:30 a.m.
The vehicle was totaled in the crash, which occurred during cloudy weather conditions on wet roads.
Scott was also issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for driving on roadways laned for traffic, carrying a $162 fine and 2 points, and operating without liability insurance, carrying a $220 fine and 2 points.
