WILMINGTON — Three people were arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with suspicious activity at a Citizen’s Bank, police said.
Officers responded to a report at the bank in Wilmington Plaza and detained the suspects in the parking lot of Wilmington Crossing at 247 Main Street.
All three were taken into custody without incident, according to police.
Matthew Hennigan, 33, who is homeless, was charged with conspiracy, uttering, forgery, larceny over $1,200, possession of a Class A substance and possession of a Class B substance.
Norma Lee Jones, 43, of Morrow, Georgia, was charged with conspiracy and carrying a firearm without a license to carry.
Ramon Anderson Hampton, 33, of Morrow, Georgia, was charged with conspiracy.
All three suspects were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Woburn District Court.
“This incident is a testament to the professionalism and preparedness of our officers,” Chief Joseph Desmond said.
“They acted decisively to investigate suspicious behavior, recover a firearm from an unlicensed individual, and safely bring three suspects into custody.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
