Utica teen charged with criminal mischief after damaging vehicles

UTICA — A 17-year-old has been charged with criminal mischief in the third degree after allegedly damaging two vehicles following an argument at a residence.

Utica police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Gray Avenue on May 3 regarding a criminal mischief investigation.

Officers spoke with a victim who said the juvenile, whom they knew, came to the house and an argument occurred.

After the teen left the residence, the victim looked outside and saw the male actively damaging two vehicles in the driveway before fleeing the scene.

The victim obtained a damage estimate totaling more than $1,300, and the case was assigned to a member of the Juvenile Aid Unit.

On June 10, the juvenile was issued an appearance ticket to Oneida County Family Court/Probation for criminal mischief in the third degree.
