ROCKLAND — Police arrested the same juvenile twice on June 10 after incidents at a high school graduation and later during an evening patrol.

Officers working security at the Oceanside High School graduation around 5 p.m. contacted an intoxicated juvenile attempting to enter the event.

The juvenile had been previously trespassed from the event and refused to leave when contacted by officers.

Police said the juvenile berated officers with racial slurs and made hand gestures simulating shooting at the officers.

The juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct and underage alcohol consumption.

A juvenile community corrections officer was contacted and the juvenile was released to a family member.

Later that evening, officers on patrol in the south end located the same juvenile out after curfew.

The juvenile attempted to run and hide but was apprehended by officers.

During the investigation, officers learned the juvenile had stolen and destroyed items from at least one vehicle.

Police contacted the victim and charged the juvenile with motor vehicle burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

The juvenile was again released to family members.

A second juvenile was also charged in connection with the criminal acts.
