BOSTON — A 41-year-old Roxbury man was fatally shot Monday night in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, police said.
Anildo Cardoso was shot in front of 4 Levant Street at approximately 8:51 p.m. on June 9, according to the Boston Police Department.
Officers assigned to District C-11 initially responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 11 Levant Street.
While en route, officers received an update from Operations indicating that a person had been shot in front of 4 Levant Street.
Upon arrival, officers located Cardoso suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Boston EMS transported the victim to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the incident.
