South Windsor man arrested in domestic violence incident

SOUTH WINDSOR — Michael A. Newth, 39, of Manchester, was arrested Monday evening following a domestic violence incident, police said.

The South Windsor Police Department responded to the incident at 8:50 p.m. Monday.

Police determined Newth struck the victim and knocked over and damaged a rack filled with non-perishable foods.

Newth was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree and breach of peace in the second degree.

He was processed and held on a $15,000 surety bond.

Newth is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court this morning at 9 a.m.
