SHARON — A 20-year-old Thetford Center man was arrested on a DUI charge after a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 14 early Wednesday morning.
Daygon Lashway was driving a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek when the vehicle left the roadway and came to rest facing north in the area south of White Brook Road, according to Vermont State Police.
Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to the crash at 1:26 a.m.
South Royalton Rescue responded to the scene and evaluated Lashway for injuries.
During the investigation, troopers observed indicators of impairment.
Lashway was screened for DUI before being placed under arrest and transported to Hartford Police Department for processing.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage in the crash.
Road conditions were dry and weather was cloudy at the time of the incident.
Lashway was released after being issued a citation to appear in Windsor County Superior Court on July 2 to answer to the DUI charge.
