Driver crashes after failing to maintain lane on Route 22A in Benson

BENSON — A Granville, New York woman crashed her vehicle after failing to maintain her lane of travel on Route 22A near Perch Pond Road on June 10 at approximately 9:26 a.m.

Kathleen Fox, 58, was traveling north on Route 22A in a 2015 Toyota RAV4 when she exited the east side of the roadway, according to Vermont State Police.

The vehicle collided with a small tree before coming to an uncontrolled position of rest.

Fox was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries.

The RAV4 sustained moderate damage to the left fender, right passenger side and undercarriage.

Road conditions were wet and normal at the time of the crash, with cloudy weather reported.

The Benson Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks responded to the single-vehicle crash.

A Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending.
