CHESTER — A 34-year-old Chester man was arrested on drug and impaired driving charges following a traffic stop on Route 10 on June 8.
Brian Cole was taken into custody at approximately 6:47 p.m. after Lt. Thomas Battista conducted a motor vehicle stop on two vehicles that were stopped in the travel lane, according to the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department.
Both drivers were operating vehicles with suspended licenses, police said.
Cole exhibited signs of impairment and was screened by Det. Sgt. Richard King, a certified drug recognition expert, who determined Cole was impaired by drugs.
During a search, police recovered 0.1 gram of crack cocaine and 33 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl from Cole’s pockets.
Cole was transported to Springfield Police Department and processed on charges of driving under the influence of drugs, possession of heroin and possession of cocaine.
He was cited to appear in Windsor County Superior Court on July 22 at 8:30 a.m.
