Boston police seek suspect in Dorchester laundromat knife threat

BOSTON — Detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect who threatened a woman with a knife at a Dorchester laundromat.

The incident occurred Tuesday, June 3, at approximately 10:40 a.m. at a laundromat located at 471 Blue Hill Avenue.

According to police, the victim briefly stepped outside while doing laundry and returned to find an unknown male going through her laundry basket.

When she confronted him, the suspect pulled out a knife and threatened her.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’7″ tall with a slim build and short black hair.

He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans and has visible tattoos on both forearms.

Detectives assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) are investigating the incident.
