BOSTON — A man was fatally shot Monday night in Dorchester, police said.
Officers assigned to District C-11 responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of 11 Levant Street at approximately 8:51 p.m. June 9.
While en route, officers received an update from Operations indicating that a person had been shot in front of 4 Levant Street.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Boston EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident.
