AUBURN — Police have charged a man with grand larceny after he allegedly stole an electric bike from outside a Dunkin Donuts location on East Genesee Street.
Justin Morrison was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny in connection with the May 4 incident at 2 E. Genesee St., according to a police news release issued June 10.
Officers responded to the Dunkin Donuts after receiving a report of a stolen electric bike.
The bike’s owner and a witness told police they watched a suspect walk up to the bike, which was parked in front of the store, get on it and ride away.
Police developed Morrison as a suspect through their investigation and submitted a warrant for his arrest.
Morrison was processed while being held at the Cayuga County Jail on unrelated charges and remained in custody there.
