LINCOLN WOODS — Rhode Island State Police arrested two men in separate traffic stops overnight.
At 10:41 p.m., troopers arrested Eric Hopkins, 52, of 485 Plainfield Street, Providence, for violation of a protection order, third offense.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.
Hopkins was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
At 12:35 a.m., troopers arrested Robinson Linares Mejia, 22, of 92 Wesleyan Avenue, Providence, for reckless driving, first offense.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 10 in Cranston.
Linares Mejia was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace with a future Third Division District Court date.
