Driver arrested in St. Johnsbury on false information, license charges

ST. JOHNSBURY — A Newport City driver was arrested early Sunday morning after giving police a false name during a traffic stop and driving with a criminally suspended license.

Skylar Bergeron, 35, was stopped by Vermont State Police troopers at 12:11 a.m. June 8 after committing a minor motor vehicle violation.

Bergeron initially provided a false name to the troopers during the stop.

Further investigation revealed Bergeron’s true identity and that their license was criminally suspended.

Bergeron was arrested on charges of providing false information to law enforcement and criminal driving with a suspended license.

Bergeron was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Bergeron was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on July 14 at 8:30 a.m.
