RICHFORD — Vermont State Police arrested a 24-year-old Richford man in connection with a burglary at North Country Federal Credit Union early Saturday morning.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were notified of an alarm at the credit union at 80 Main St. at approximately 12:57 a.m. June 7.
While responding to the scene, troopers were told the security system captured images showing a male suspect had gained entry through two sets of doors and taken property from the coin area of the bank.
Upon arrival, responding troopers determined the suspect had left the scene.
U.S. Border Patrol agents assisted with the initial response and investigation.
Members of the Richford Fire Department also responded and helped secure the damaged doors to the building.
During the investigation throughout the day, troopers found the suspect asleep in a vehicle two houses down from the scene.
The suspect was identified as Raven Hendrix of Richford and was taken into custody on a burglary charge.
He was transported to the St. Albans Field Station for processing.
Hendrix was lodged at Northwest State Correctional Facility on $500 bail and for detoxification.
He was also issued a citation for an unrelated outstanding warrant requiring him to appear in court Monday.
