SOMERSWORTH — A 42-year-old Conway man was arrested after breaking into a state liquor store just after midnight June 7.
Officers responded to an active burglar alarm at the New Hampshire State Liquor Store at 481 High St.
Police found a broken window on the south side of the building and heard noise coming from inside.
Officers discovered a male inside the store and ordered him to exit the building.
The suspect refused commands and fled from the rear of the building, attempting to elude officers.
Police gave chase and caught the suspect after a brief struggle.
The suspect was identified as Ryan T. McDevitt, 42, of Conway.
McDevitt was charged with burglary, resisting arrest and simple assault on a police officer.
Police also discovered McDevitt had an outstanding warrant for motor vehicle violations.
The investigation remains active and additional charges are pending.
