UTICA — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of James Street and Howard Avenue on June 5 at approximately 10:20 p.m.
Police and fire units responded to the scene and found an unconscious male lying in the roadway.
The victim was immediately transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment and remains in critical but stable condition with multiple injuries.
The operator and vehicle involved in the incident were located on the 1600 block of Miller Street shortly after the crash.
The Utica Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is evaluating the crash, while the Criminal Investigations Division is handling the overall incident.
