SEMPRONIUS — A Syracuse man was arrested June 1 after allegedly providing a fake name during a traffic stop, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

Dylan A. Hulslander, 27, was charged with false personation, a Class B misdemeanor, Sheriff Brian Schenck said in a news release Friday.

Deputies conducted the traffic stop around 2:10 p.m. after observing a vehicle speeding in a posted 25 mph zone on North Glenn Haven Road in the Town of Sempronius.

During the stop, a deputy spoke with Hulslander, who was in the front passenger seat, and he provided a fake name and date of birth, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies recognized Hulslander from previous arrests and encounters.

Hulslander was taken into custody and released with an appearance ticket directing him to appear in Town of Sempronius Court on June 18 at 6:00 p.m.

He had several outstanding warrants with multiple police agencies throughout New York state and was turned over to those agencies.
